Bikes and dogs do not mix…

Ruby’s story…….

Good Morning Friends, here I am waiting for the bin men to come, don’t ask me how I know it’s Friday, I just do. I can’t go in and and I won’t let dad take me for a walk until I’ve seen them, so, I’ll just sit here and wait, I’m sure they won’t be long now.

Whilst I’m waiting I saw a fellow pooch being walked, but his hooman was riding a bike and said pooch was running along side the bike. This wasn’t right, so there was nothing for it so I barked and barked and barked some more. Well I have to alert mum and and dad to potential danger, not only to them but to my fellow pooches, what happens if he needs to stop and snuffle at a blade of grass, like I do, about a hundred times on a walk.

I quickly thought better of the barking when mum ran out to see what I was barking at, and she took great interest in the bike riding dog walking. Erm, don’t get any ideas mother I’m not running alongside you riding a bike that really is a recipe for disaster on our past record, we have enough mishaps walking let alone riding a bike !! and you really wouldn’t look good in lycra, to be fair you wouldn’t fit into lycra ! Thankfully mum thought the same and just shook her head and went back inside…… that was a lucky escape.

Anyway what’s that I hear in the distance…. the faint rumble of bins being emptied….. got to do friends they’re on their way.
