The Watersedge Inn, is in the perfect location in Ambleside to fully appreciate everything that the Lake District has to offer.

We stayed in a dog friendly room on the second floor which overlooked, Lake Windermere. The room was small but perfectly formed, there was enough room for all of our things and also for Ruby’s bed, so we were all happy.

Eating and drinking at The Watersedge Inn with a a dog is very easy. There are plenty of tables outside overlooking the lake that you can sit at and eat, but there is also a lovely area inside that you can sit with your dog, it is to the left hand side of the bar and down a small step, but the room itself is lovely and comfortable, and when we were there in October, there was a roaring fire that all the pooches were dying to get in front of.

We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast which we would not fault, but the main thing to mention is that, the welcome that Ruby received from the staff with the tummy rubs and treats was fantastic, you really were made to feel that you were welcome and the dogs even more so. I cannot praise this place enough.
