Located at the other end of Amroth is the New Inn, it is a short walk away, but a lovely walk along the road overlooking the beach.
The New Inn is a beautiful 16th century inn which has a traditional cosy feel inside with its open log fire and wood beams. Dogs are allowed in some areas of the bar and you can sit and eat with your dog at certain tables. As a dog owner the crown jewel of the New Inn is the lovely large beer garden. There are plenty of tables outside whether you want to sit on the patio area or out on the grass, there really isn’t a bad table out there. As with all the other pubs, there are plenty of dog bows around and the staff always give the pooches a warm welcome. The menu is varied and good value. When we have visited in the past during the summer months the New Inn has hosted an outside beer festival and outside music events in the large beer garden, and we have spent many a long afternoon enjoying the atmosphere along with a drink or three, which makes the walk seem a little longer than getting there, but at least it give you the opportunity to walk off the large helping of food you’ve just had.
All in all, there is something for everyone in Amroth and lots for dog owners, I did wonder about this recommendation, as Amroth is such a lovely place you really do want to keep this little gem to yourself , but it would be so wrong not to share it with everyone.
